I am doing a photography project on the grey seals in and around cornwall, I want to get in the water and dive with them. Does anyone know where it is possible to do this, or locations where people have seen them before?

thanks
Sam Stewart

I know a few spots :)

Sam, I think your question is a little controversial as most folk dont want to deliberately interact with the seals, we just come across them while hunting.
You might be better to ask the same question to the regular guys who post on the Cornwall thread via a PM.
I dont even know if it is legal to purposely dive with a protected species?

Yeah I know spots but I'd never publicise them. I don't think there are any restrictions about diving with Grey Seals, I know the Farne Islands divers are always diving with them and there are videos of scuba divers cuddling seals all over youtube, its one of the attractions of diving there I believe.

The main thing is not to harass them I guess? But as most spearos know the problem is usually the seals harassing us ;)

I have found that when you are diving if seals are nearby they are usually quite inquisitive and interact on their own accord if they want
