Hi,
I bougt a salmon fish from the market the other day (imported of course as we have no salmon here), I made them cut it is 1 inch thick steaks, Today i marinaded 3 steaks in teryaki sauce (yes thats it), for about 4 hours, then i hit the grill, 7-10 minutes each side with medium intensity and WOW it was great, thought i'd share that with you, next time ill try something diffent.

Key thing is, don't put the steaks in foil, the salmon is an oily fish, leave the skin on during grilling, it cooks in the marinade plus its own oils, add some small amounts of teryaki as it is being grilled, youll thank me later
cheers :friday

Hi Marwan

I quite often marinate fish in sauces before cooking but I hadn't used Teriaki, so I tried it last night.

Very nice, except I didn't use Salmon as I believe a fish recipes can realy be used on any kind of fish.

I also threw some prawns in to the marinade. Then cooked the lot in a garlic enriched olive oil.

Yummy!

hey poida,
I plan to try the garlic enriched olive oil, but will probably only marinade with the oil, salt and pepper, maybe some lemon after the fish is off the grill, i will add some fresh parsley and little slice of butter.
