Guernsey Spearfishing - Advice Needed

Working in Guernsy for two weeks starting Monday :) and was hoping to get some fishing in. Its my first time there so it would be great if anyone can point me to the best areas and provide advice in general. What is the fish / visablity situation at the moment? I notice there is a bit of surf around at the moment does this affect things or is it sheltered on the east? 90 or 75cm gun? Are airport customs ok with spearguns there?

I think you've worried Old man Dve and Ed, they know the score all right! One Welsh spearo for a fourtnight and Gurnsey bass is an endangerd spiecies :D

Ahh yes. Just found another thread on Guernsey looks like i could be in for some fun for the next couple of weeks. Would definately benfit from some local advice though.

Hey Naim, are you fishing in South Wales too? Water has not really cleared up yet but fish should be arriving any time soon hopefully?

Futher north mate :) Got my first bass this year yesterday morning 4 Kg in really crap viz, think the thing must have been feeling a bit down, suicidal even to get itself shot in that viz! rofl
