can someone let me know howto make a gun bungee, what knots to use etc. I am talking about the bungee that goes between the monofilament and the speargun muzzle. I have the 10mm cored rubber, plenty of dyneema, constrictor cord to tie knots and a heavy duty swivel.
thanks,

When my bungees ware out I feel it is much easier to just measure the right lenght of mono and then crimp it and have no bungee at all it really works well and it is really easy! Oh Orangekiwi have you been to wild blue is it a good spearfishing shop? I will be getting some new gear and am thinking of dealing with them.

Coral Sniper if you just use a mono shooting line it can shrink over time and be hard to hook up on line release bungy takes up the shrink so its stays easy to load.

I was and still am after the picasso pacific but I emaild wild blue and they said that they did not have the picasso in the 140cm :head only 130cm.But they have the picasso 140 on there web site . Whatever if I cant get the picasso in the right size I think might go with a Rob Allen 140. Poacher I thought mono would strech. I havent had any probs with my mono getting too tight, but I also change it every once in a while.

Although I am not familiar with the guns in question, with the guns I use a bungee is important. Where the line attaches to the trigger release, if there is to much pressure it will affect the trigger pull, making it seem jerky & hard to release.

I have had the mono get tight and as fox fish said it can make trigger play up on my gun with Undersea mech I could pull the trigger but gun did not fire untill i touched line release then bang of she went - with tighter main rubbers or 2 rubbers it was no problem but with one not to tight rubber it did not allow the sear to drop away from shaft.
since I fitted a bungie that is not overtensioning the shooting line it is OK no problems now.
