Summer is almost here and I know some of you have been searching for the ultimate Camera/Gun setup.:t
Me too, I’ve been going around in circles, considering many factors; Weight, Drag, feasibility,…..….etc, most important is PRACTICALITY. There are just too many things already going on while spearfishing.:martial
I found this Camera Setup…simple, light weight, …..and most important, when not in need…. your gun has nothing attached to it except a small piece of 3 mm plastic.
It’s the GoPro Hero camera (Helmet attachment unit).:friday
For around $170….you can get almost 55 minutes of video…and it takes pictures too.
Below, I’ve tried to demonstrate step by step how to mount the camera on your gun…but before you do, here are a few steps to consider:-
1- Find & test the area where you intend to mount the Base Mount (picture 3, 4) of the camera. Check & see if you have enough space to place the Base Mount and that the Camera position will not hinder any movement/activity, like loading your gun.
2- Do not apply Base Mount on screws or any part of the gun that you may want to use.
3- Place a lot of Super Glue to the Base Mount before applying it to your gun.
4- Leave the Base Mount to dry for 24 hours before use.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ihab
