Ok, here it is. I had a small 30" gun (here) that i bought a new piece of wood for and thus extended it to a 50" gun. the handle is plastic and the end of the piece of wood fits inside the plastic handle. my question is this: should i seal the wood inside the plastic handle with silicon or should i just leave it be? because the old piece of wood that was in there had an amazingly tight fit and it still had some water leakage in the pocket where it fits into the handle.

Yes it would be ok to seal the wood inside the plastic housing. Just dont use silicone, once dried if you want to disassemble it will be almost impossible. I usually use a organic grease, or a silicone based oil depending if it is something to stay there for some time or to take apart often.

so silicon grease would work good? I think i have some of that laying around...

From a safety point of view, have you checked with the manufacturer if the trigger mechanism will be able to handle the additional pressure of an extra 20" of barrel/rubber length? The last thing you would want is a misfire obviously.

well, i'm assuming AB biller only uses one trigger for all of their guns (seeing as they only sell one) and they do sell a 50" gun, so i should be safe.
