What do you guys use to store all your kit? I want to tidy my stash up a little, at the moment my guns are propped up in a corner of the garage and the rest thrown onto some metal shelves next to them. I am thinking of making a horizontal gun rack with storage space for the rest of my kit, masks, fins, suits etc. Has anyone got something similar that they could post a photo of or any good ideas? I'd be very grateful :)

I just use industrial wall hooks, those youd hang a bicycle or something from, screwed into the wall. Gun on each set of two hooks and wetsuits on hangers below the guns. Fins and bags goes into a chest below them...
Ill take a pic this eve and post tomorrow :)

Yes, those bike/ski hooks for the garage provide decent horizontal storage (mounted on the wall or roof). The bass angler Mike Ladle made a rack for his fishing rods & reels using coat hooks mounted sideways in an indoor closet. For fishing rods, I used a sort of homemade umbrella-stand. An indoor American-style gun rack might be worth considering for the Red Dragon (no doubt easier to come by in the states). Ikea often have novel, inexpensive storage products -- if you can bare going into the maze.

As long as you grip your speargun/polespear tightly, you'll be all right.

This is probably overkill for the garage, but this is how I store them in the boat.

If you ever get a boat, you could use those rails and move them back and forth.:)

Bill, I just finished reading "Last of the blue water hunters" by Carlos Eyles. Isn't that your neck of the woods? Do you know the places & people featured?

Yes, I frequently dive Catalina Island, where he spent the summer on that sailboat. I know a few of the people, and know of many of the rest.
