Hi, is screwing elastic bands a better option than one continious band?

Also any people out here who shoot either Rabitech or Rob Allen guns?

Similar questions as above but this time on the Seatec gun?

Any feedback on these appreciated.

The circular band will give you more power then the screwing band, another advantage of the circular band is they can be used smaller profile muzzle.

Rob Allen are great guns, probably the one of the best rail guns out there. The nice thing about them is they are very strong also they have barrel that is build with the rail , that makes the barrel very rigid.
I don't have any info about the seatec or Rabitech

I own three Euro-type guns (which qualifies me as a Euro novice since some members here have upwards of 20 guns).

Aimrite Railgun 130 and Rob Allen 110 are continuous band guns. Prior to Aimrite, Rob Allen was my favorite. Dead accurate, easy to reload... For certain tasks that require the 110, the RA gets trotted out still.

Rabitech got great reputation too. One thing that annoys me about MY Rob Allen's gun is that the track is shallower than I like (note the personal preference). Rabitech is deeper, so is Aimrite.

As far as built-in track, both Aimrite alum and Rob Allen has them. Rabitech is glued on. To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference in performance, and probably 99.99% can't tell the difference between a glued-on track and a built-in track. My own Aimrite carbon has glued on tracks, and it doesn't factor into my decision whether it's built-in or glued on.

Both Aimrite and Rob Allen (and Rabitech too) are soft wishbone-friendly and enable you to use continuous band. I will not go back to either metal wishbone (whacking my finger) or screw-in band (I like to tie my own band and dial it in just right).

Hope this helps.

Hiya

Geo, you do know Rabitech is made right here in Cape Town?:D:D

Screw in bands vs Bulk rubber bands. As far as accuracy goes, most euro gun manufacturers will claim that the screw in bands are better as they're parrallal to the barrel, whilst bulk rubber fans will claim that the little extra rubber around the muzzles gives extra drive to the spear, making the gun more powerful.

In independant tests done by Hawaian Skin Diver magazine, both the RAbitech and RA scored very highly with regards to accuracy. So BOTH sides have merit to their arguments!!

The BIGGEST two advantages is that you can modify the length of bulk rubber bands easily and the cost of bulk rubber bands is consideribily cheaper here!! I recall paying R350.00 for a set of 20mm screw in bands for my 110cm Picasso a few years ago. Bulk rubber bands cost me less than R100.00 last time i bought them!!!

If you've already got a gun with screw in bands, you can get euro adaptors (from Rabitech), which will allow you to fit bulk rubber to your gun.

Hi miles, yip I know :)

Going to pay the a visit tomorrow. I have no gun at present and doing my homework at the moment before buying.

Are you going to hottie shoot out later this month?

Hiya

WHERE is the hottie shoot-out??

I haven't shot hotties for ages!! sounds like fun!!

For our conditions here in the cape, get a RABITECH!!! they're built for our conditions!! Do a search on DB on Rabitech!!!
