I'm needing to upgrade from my aluminum 48" Voit gun that I found on the roadside 6 years ago. Looking for another 48" gun as the 52" seems like a bit much to be sticking under ledges like I usually see on Florida's west coast. Also, a 48 with the right bands and shaft could shoot with power equivalent to a 52. I scuba and freedive, but shoot freeshaft 95% of the time so rapid loading is a big deal to me. (People tell me Riffe is a slow-loading gun, but no one sells them over here so I can't verify that.)
So, I like one piece wood guns, and I like the enclosed muzzle design (like spearfishing specialties commercial line). However, I'd like to spend about $200-300. Anyone got a used SS ltd commercial gun they want to get rid of? I would've put this in wanted section, but that last post is a month old. Thanks.
