Guys, please help! I had a JBL metal gun that was about 27'' long. Man that thing was dead on and super fast! I was hitting 10''mangrove snapper from 10'away the first time ever spearfishing,I was hooked! I got the gun used from e-bay and it finally died RIP. I baught a 50'' wood seahornet and it is not accurate at all, slow and no power even with 2 new bands. not happy at all with it. I'm looking at buying a JBL Lightning. I saw they have a 44'' and i think a 50'' modle. would this be a good gun for reef fishing in the florida keys? 30' depth, around low profile patch reef, vis 30+, on a hookah rig, would be using shock cord with leash not in to free shafting yet, hunting mostly small snapper and if i'm luckey to see a keeper grouper i'm shooting it! 99% of the fish will be less than 10lbs. I'm looking for a fast shaft for around 10'-15' shots. at around $200 it is in my price range. I know buy a RIFE-not in the budget this year. do any of you guys think this JBL Lightning would work for what i'm trying to do???? thanks for your input!!!!
