Im going to upgrade my fins and want some with replaceabe finblades.I have the E-green Imersion fins at the moment and am quite pleased with the fit ( Got fairly wide feet),but they are getting a bit soft for me. I was jut wondering if any body has tried both the H dessault and the Imersion and could tell me the difference.

The Imersion footpockets allow for wider feet or thicker socks (I use 7 mm), and I can use mine without fin keepers. The heel seems to be narrower, despite being easier to put on and take off (very important in Alaska in the winter)
The Imersion footpockets are very soft and bend a lot, both under the heel and across the top of your foot. The Dessault footpockets are medium flex, and bend less both under the heel and across the top of the pocket
At this point I use 42-44 Dessault footpockets with fiberglass blades and 3 mm socks in warm water. I normally use my Imersion E-carbons in Alaska. I wear 7 mm socks and don't need fin keepers. If I use my old Dessault 44-46 footpockets up here I need fin keepers, even with 7 mm socks. I like the extra stiffness, but prefer the Imersions because I can get them on easily even when it's really cold. Both are soft enough to work well in cold water, which makes footpockets and plastic blades stiffer.
