Haisai from Okinawa

Just quick intro. Live in Okinawa, love the ocean and want to get some friggin fish. There is a small community of spearos here; however I use a sling and polespear. I would just get in thier way. So id like to find some other people and intro them to the locals here and share tips and such.

Welcome to DB. Are you stationed at Kadina or something? There was a newer guy not to long ago posting on here that was from Japan. I can't recall his user name. He was using a pole spear too.

I'm a Civillian that works on-base, I just joined so I doubt I'm the other "pole spear."

I have a bunch of friends who are on base in Oki. PM me and I can give you names of guys to dive with. My buddy Kevin was on the previous cover of HSD magazine, so if you see this character scooting around, ....say hi to him!!!

Yeah I know Kevin, I took a few of his x-rays before.
He is too high speed for me. I have tried to go out with him brfore, just couldnt get away. There is a guy on one of the northern islands "Ricepaddydaddy" cool guy.

Hi polespear - I visited Oki last year after living and spearing in Tokyo for a few years. Have you met Jamie from the university in Naha yet? And yeah I visited Shin the ricepaddydaddy then too - a fun trip.
