Too many people train doing hanging at depht (static apnea, hanging from the rope in depht). This is a modality that we like very much, because it allows the apneist to look the ocean and her creatures around. We think this is the apnea essence.
What do you think about a Hanging competition, for example the guy that do more static time at 50 meters.
Obviously this kind of competition has a lot of safety issues like Deep Water Black-out, higher risk of decompression sickness in both freediver and SCUBA (if it's the case), maybe higher risk of lung squeeze, etc.
What do you think.

I want to vote for the second option. We do it and it is enjoyable with a buddy 10 meters away but, as you pointed out, it's very dangerous.
Aloha
