Well shucks. Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

My wife is still in Dusseldorf at our daughter's house playing with the Grandkids, so its just me and the cat. I guess I'll scatter some extra cat nip on her scratch box, open a Steinlager, and do something wild and crazy like watch the Rose Bowl for probably the first time in 20 years.

Duesseldorf is about 2.5 hours north of where I am right now! And it is bloody COLD!

Ahhhhh ... a Bowl game... Haven't seen one in ....10 years?

Have fun!! You don't get chances like this every year!

I know it is. Was in Dusseldorf from Christmas until I came home on New Years Eve, and it was cold and miserable, with lots of snow. I took the train up to Frankfurt for the flight home, and the countryside was covered with snow all the way. Brrr.

I talked to my wife this morning, and she said that the snow has all melted, but its cold as hell again.

What do you mean how long you'll be doing this.I don't think you will be able to retire from spearfishing until we forget who you are.

Oh yeah, I've been drinking it at home for years. After all, we are showing some signs of being a refined civilization.:)

Speaking of good beer, while at my daughter's house in Germany last week I drank some of the original Budweiser from the Czech Republic, and its a crying shame that the watery US product gets to use the same name. However, I will admit that the local German beers that my son-in-law buys were a bit better for my taste.

However, the research continues.

Shoot, you want un-watery? Try the various products of Stone
Brewery in SD County. Man! Especially their Arrogant Bastard Ale, if you decide to drink one of those, you'd better not have any other plans for the afternoon. I'd advise you have company with it . . . and lots of bread and cheese! Wheeee-hawken!
