Still drinking...?

I wish you're having a pleasant day, and I also wish you a great year to come with new spearguns all the way, Brazilian ladies all around and lotsa lotsa fish.
Happy Birthday Rafael!

btw: which Cayman?

Thanks Spaghetti

I am at work now, so I have to take a little easy on the drinking.

About the cayman, I currently have the HF 110, I have not made my mind yet, carbon 110, HF2 110 or another HF110. Since that one is in Brazil and I don't mix gear, this one will stay in Alaska.

What do you think a carbon HF or the aluminum one ? Have you heard about any issues with the carbon barrel ?

What ever I get I will replace the muzzle with the HH muzzle.

Agreed. Drinking at work makes me a bit "slow", so that it takes more time to finish off things, leaving less time to go out to drink seriously. Makes sense. ;-)

Now for seiorus things:
I haven't heard of any issues with the Cayman Carbon. I know a couple of guys who own that gun (a 100, not a 110), and the only complaint is about the articulated wishbone shaving the rail. Dyneema wishbone and you're ok.
The wall thickness is 1.5mm: not the thickest carbon barrell (my T20 Millennium was 1.85), but same as the Excalibur Carbon, which gave me no problems of flex along years of hard duty (the quality of carbon must be quite good).

RE. Cayman Carbon, alluminium, Hf or HF 2?
Lately I'm in love with shaped barrels, that I feel more stable and balanced: Master Comp, Gabbiano, Snake, Monoscocca (the latter with extra ballasted muzzle) are my favourite now. But if I think of how much fish I've shot in 21 years with traditional round section barrells, I must admit that my new passion for shaped barrels must be just my own maniac paranoia....

Spaghetti

I agree, after this last season with my HF, I seldom missed shots, I am somewhat hesitant on changing to carbon.

Have you used the C4 a whole lot ? What do you think about the muzzle and the rigging speed.

Not a whole lot, just a few sessions (I bought it in autumn and the winter came early). The trigger is fantastic, the tracking is superb (best tracking gun I've ever had), gun is compact (the overall length is same as a 95, but the band stretch is equal to a 102). I have to ballast the front of it with some taped lead, though: 15 to 30 grams of lead, depending of the shaft I'm using. The muzzle is closed type (old series Monoscocca), so no problem to reload: same as any other closed muzzle arbalete.
You could consider a Snake. Superb gun (winner gun of the latest UW target shooting national championship) and even cheaper than the HF. Aaron Crist in Arizona sells them for the US market at a fairly honest price.

HappY birthday again. What time is it over there? Has the drinking session started yet?

Snake gun, who makes those ?

The drinking will start in a couple of hours.

Hopefully Mrs. Bruzzi, will treat me nice today.

Belated Happy Birthday Strangelove! (Something about February, seemed like half my class at school had birthdays in February).
