Harsh article about Pipin

hi dallas,
I don,t think we will ever know for sure. who knows what happened exactly, we only know Audrey is no longer with us. On a maybe more positive point it may have meant safety controls have been upped since the incident but i was not really into the sport when it happened. i read Pipins book and it seemed genuine but thats from his point of view

I also read his book and thought it was very open and sincere. After I read the book the thought of any foul play never entered my mind, thats why I thought it was kind of a harsh accusation

I felt the same after reading it but others have said different. I don,t know Pipin nor knew Audrey so don,t know what to think other than it seems a beautiful life taken. I didn,t know that Pipin was intending on 200m was that recent. it semmed he had vanished off the scene altogether and I can,t blame him for that. Thought he had hung up the record fins

I don't want to belive it, so I say it's the most stupid accusation I've ever heard. I hate people who always need to find guilt in everything. Even if the tank wasn't filled, it was surely an accident.

I believe that this is a harsh and unjustified accusation! I heard what happened firsthand from a person who was alongside pippin when it happened and before it happened and he just said that it was nothing more than an accident!
I can see by the source of the article that it isn't worth reading!

I believe that pippin suffered enough, let it go!

Folks,

Whilst there is no longer a ban on discussing this incident in the forums (for those who were not around at that time the ban was in place due to legal action), I would like to remind everyone to be careful.

This was and still is an extremely hot topic of discussion and is likely to generate a lot of emotional words if taken too far.

speculations are speculations, useless in my mind due to lack of real conclusions and often even destructive, from what I know of Pipin, from reading his book and other material, he seems to be a remarkable person, quite an original and a benefactor to the sport in many ways.
