Has sea life ever interfered with a tournament or record attempt?

I'm curious if some form of sea life has ever interfered with someones dive during competition. Like if you get buzzed by a shark or stung by a jellyfish at depth, that's obviously not good for your dive.

If this happened, how was it dealt with? Was the person given a re-do?
