Hi all
Hope this is posted in the right place. Just wondering if anyone supplies/makes for sale in the UK?
Been looking on all the usual sites but pole and sling spears seem to be non existent.

I cant find any either but have decided to make a slingbow/Hawaiian sling crossover thing I am going to base it around a barnet catapult and use a normal spear. I have a 150cm spear from one of my guns so i'll see how it goes. Rubber is available, some strong polespear bands are available from Apnea in Jersey. Once its done I will post some pics if I can work out how to do it, i'm new to this site

On reading the original post again, you seem to be asking were to get pole spears as well.......good news on that front Apnea sell the foldspear and the very hyped but apparently very good Riffe. Spearo sell the 3 piece Ray Odur pole spear. That's three very well known American makes of polespears..............spoilt for choice Spearfishing store sell fibreglass and metal polespears. I have the Ray Odur and recommend it, solid no nonsense piece of kit, well worth the money. I fancy getting the Riffe but if the carbon broke I think I would literally cry:waterwork I like the idea of owning the Riffe, it gets great reviews and its Riffe!...........whatever the pros and cons of the brand, its an American icon!

Thanks for the replies! I have been thinking of making one myself.
I really like the look of the Riffe too but the price is a bit prohibitive for me. The reason I'm looking at pole and sling is to reduce cost of buying kit. Will check out the Ray Odur spear though. Thanks again. M
