i went out yesterday like most mornings here, i was in the water about 2hrs and after about an hr i started getting really bad heart burn which has'nt happend to me before, for breakfast i had half bowl cereal 1 banana and cup tea like normal, has this ever happend to anyone else before ?? any idea why this mite off happened so i can avoid it for next time

Hi Pat, how are you?
The heartburn is something I've had before alright. I believe it's to do with being upside down while you're diving down. Acid leaks from your stomach, runs up towards your throat and burns your oesophagus.
Happens worst to me if I've been drinking beer the day before. I haven't had it for a good while now and haven't drunk for a good while either but I'm having a few beers right now so we'll see.
Dive safe and cheers from me to all the family.

+1 on the drinking the night before. Sounds like you had a good breakfast.
If I eat any meat, tomato, onion (typical Central American "spanish" food) during a break on the boat, I get it too.
I don't drink at all now. I eat only oatmeal, bananas and peanut butter sandwiches on free diving days....until I'm done diving.
Or you could take Zanax or whatever that anti heartburn medicine is.
