I am also new to freediving (and this site ) I recently acquired AIDA 2* and I'm in the Coventry Area.
I was wondering if you had any joy finding any clubs or other freedivers for pool training because I would be very interested in joining you.
As for depth diving - I go to Chepstow and Dosthill (both are quarries and both are a good drive away) occasionally so if you have got your entry level qualification I am sure they will welcome you.

Hello All,

I live in Solihull and am still new to spearfishing. Was bitten by the bug in 2005 but I was living in the Netherlands at that time...spearfishing is illegal there... Eitherway I'm collecting the needed gear step by step. Initially I was planning to spearfish primarily in Tunisia, as I will be travelling there regularly...but I am very tempted to give it a go here in the UK.

Was wondering...is the cardiff area any good for spearfishing? What would be good area's to spearfish that aren't too far from the Birmingham area? Can't see myself drive back home for 4 hours after a spearfishing session...

Any advise would be much appreciated!
