I'm Scott, from Orange County, California, where we've been plagued with a nasty red tide for many stretches at a time since...May?

Anyway, aching for some time in clear water, me and my friend hopped the Express earlier this summer to Avalon for an afternoon, where we snorkeled from the Casino Point park and kelp bed - very interesting - and checked out some boats while swimming to the beach under some buildings. I found a full wallet. :p My home stomping ground is probably the Fisherman's Point/Shaw's Cove/Crescent Bay complex in Laguna Beach, which I never tire of exploring. :D I mostly like to just look around and am comfortable both snorkeling and scuba diving. I don't think I'm fond enough of the taste of fish to be a hunter though.

Anyway, there's a lot of neat articles here and a lot of the discussions here look pretty interesting! :)

roland

btw: what's a kelp bed like? and hat's the interesting stuff there? (i never had the opportunity)
