Hello everybody!
Im new to the spearfishing game! I moved to the big island of Hawaii a year ago. I have been spear fishing (3 prong) for about 6 months. I LOVE it. I have always been into fishing and I have done it all, but free diving and spearing is the next level for me. I have been going at night for the last 3 months after I learned the lobster and octopus are out after dark! I have had my run ins with the tiger sharks and they freak me out! I never can believe how all of a sudden they are just right there! This forum is great and I have gotten some great tips. Keep safe out there and happy hunting everyone!

Thanks! I have been looking into an underwater camera! I will absolutely post my pics here for everybody. I go to some pretty remote areas with little to no human activity so I see a lot of sea life! The turtles and eels are abundant. Some of the caves, arches tunnels ect formed by the volcano are unreal! There are also a number of tiger sharks in the area and they often get close! I cant wait to get a camera and snap some shots. If anyone has any recommendations for a decent camera please let me know. I don't know a thing about underwater cameras yet? I am new to diving and spear fishing so Im still learning. I go to new areas in the daylight a number of times before I do my night dives. I was addicted to night spearing/diving after my first experience. I like to see all the creatures that come out after dark and the hunting is just better! Let me know any tips/advise you guys have please! Stay tuned for pics..

This is nice to hear you have such great place to dive you can get Go pro 3 it is a nice small cam for spearfishing action you can mount to head or speargun...

All best on your venture
