I'd like to introduce myself to the forum as Alec Landingham. An avid free-diver and spear fisherman. I grew up in Texas going offshore fishing hook and line real young, then i moved to Florida at about 10. This transitioned over to free-diving and later on SCUBA diving off of Vero Beach and surrounding areas. I learned how to spearfish through my friends and had a ton of fun doing so. We usually shot black groupers, gag groupers, mangrove snapper, triggerfish, cobia, kingfish, mahi-mahi, and many other fish. Fast forward 9 years later i'm living in Destin, Florida and trying to strictly free-dive spearfish out of here. I work at Benthic Ocean Sports, a free-dive dedicated spearfishing shop. We are trying to grow the community more and more everyday out here. Generally our hunting starts at 55ft but the fishing is very good here so it's worth the deep dives. I hope to gain some information on here and hopefully let everybody know that the free-dive spearfishing in Destin is awesome! Thanks,
Alec
