Nice to meet you all.I am willing to get into this forum as no one can ever be profesional enoughe to refuse new experiences, hints and tips for better spearfishing and breathholding tecniques.

I am 28 years old and have been spearing from the age of 13 but these last 6 years I am trying to give some priorities to this hobby, and I am doing well too.

I live in Malta,a small island in the Mediterranean sea just 90km south of Sicily (but am not italian,we are an independent island).Malta is very nice for spearing as it has the southwest, west, north coast full of dropp offs and deep sea and the northeast to south coast is shallow along the coast.

I prefer spearing along droppoffs in mid water especially for amberjack, golden travellies, barracudas and down the bottoms for dentex, groopers and saragi depending on weather conditions.

In winter Malta is not so nice for spearing as the sea is very cold like 12 degrees. So i prefer summer that is 26 to 28 degrees.

My next step is to spear in Thailand.

Hope we can get useful information and stunning experiences through out this site.

thanks and regards
Albert
