Hello from Central Florida. New to the forum and new to free diving. I haven't hit the water yet still need equipment and a dive partner. I am joining the forum in hopes learn and find what I need.

Welcome to Deeperblue! Have you looked into a freediving class? They're a great idea for safety as well as overall technique.

As for buddies, I recommend searching the Intro and Greets or the USA/Canada subforum. We have a lot of folks from Florida.

Hey and welcome Thestig, you sure have a lot of decent springs to get wet in. I'm based in Tallahassee but it's not too far so if you need a dive buddy I'm here and plenty are around. Highly recommended get leven one certified. Instructor Matt Paarlberg is only hour away from you and does his open water portion in troy springs. Happy diving
