Hello from Cyprus

Hello members. I am a new member from Cyprus.
I am into spearfishing and free diving.
I hope we will have nice discussions here and exchange lots of information.

I live in Larnaca and i dive almost everywhere in the south part of the island but mostly at pervolia area.
Where do you live?

i went there (cyprus) about 3 times, i mostly dove in cavo greco..near protaras, its actualy les then 1 hour away, closer then some destinations in my country

i know a guy there who owns a shop in nicosia its called survival...his name is marios kadis..he always dives near paphos and says its a nice place...

Hi Marwan. Cavo greco is a nice place for diving. I go there to train at free diving sometimes. I have heard of Kadis but i didnt go to his shop yet.
Thanks for the welcome Groupermadness. Its nice to chat with spearos from the other side of Cyprus.

Sorcos, yes I'm near Larnaca too, although I am off my feet at the moment due to a knee op, getting better all the time though so won't be long before I'm back in the water. I freedive and scuba so would be glad to buddy with you when I'm fit again. I do have a speargun but its still looking pretty in its bag rofl

Peter I'm fine thanks - hope you and the rest of the family are well? We really must meet up again soon :head How many times have we said that now? rofl Still summer's coming so no more excuses, although I might smell a bit, we got water cuts this side of the island, they started on Friday.

we got water cuts this side of the island, they started on Friday.

yeah i heard about that from our colleagues in the cyprus office, hows that working? are they managed by time or day etc...? pretty ironic running out of water on an island, i hope the rains pick up again soon.

Where I am we have water for 3 days a week Mon, Wed and Fri. So far its not been too bad, but time will tell I guess. I'm assuming that the days the water is on there's enough pressure to fill our tank on the roof, unfortunately, we won't know until the taps run dry!!! Summer could be a bit smelly rofl rofl

Hi Donna, glad to hear you are on the mend,yes it is time to BBQ and meet up.We are waiting here for the rationing of water, the pressure has dropped already so its just a matter of time until the 2 times a week, we have extra storage so shouldnt be a huge problem but you never know when it comes here,looks like the garden will suffer.

Only if you are on my courses......... No serious, they are just for some individuals who have no real meaning in their lives so i teach them how to survive in different environments, ie, office:chatup,home:martial,urban,woodland, desert,mountain,coastal and open water.
