Hi I'm Matt, a rather poor excuse for a free diver (its my ears man, that and my weedy little lungs) living here in chilly Devon. I've been meaning to join these forums for a long time as they've provided a lot of useful information since I started snorkeling (including some very interesting tech on free diving mechanics)

Anyway I may be a cr*p free diver, but I still love it, be it in chilly UK waters where you're lucky if you can see the end of your fins or warmer waters where you can see a damselfish at 30m.

Oh yeah - I'm a wildlife nut and a big shark fan.. Yet to swim with even a little cat-shark in the UK, but have swum with a few reefies abroad over the years...

Anyway, enough, Hello!

Hello Matt and welcome to Deeper Blue.
As long as you’re enjoying the water and you’re diving safe it doesn’t matter if you dive 3 meters or 30 meters, it’s all about being there.
Enjoy the forums:)

Hello Matt and welcome on DB...As Podge said it is about enjoying what you are doing, and how to do it in a safe way...

Just one note many people started freediving with problem in ears even they could not go more than 2 meters and now they can go beyond 30 meters...

All best
