Heaps of Brits in here to help you out mate, welcome in.
Where did you dive in Australia?

I went out on a boat from cairns and spent 3 days on the outer reef. Without my log book I couldn't tell u where we went tho. Saying the GBR don't really narrow it down Haha. Then I did 2 dives off Byron bay.

Very nice mate, very nice. You know I grew up in tweed (45 mins from Byron I think??) and have STILL never been diving in Byron.

We didn't see much, there had been a bit of a storm and kicked up all the sand so vis was pretty poor. We heard Whales singing tho and according to the skipper they were no more than 20 meters away from us and we didn't see them Haha. Hearing them was really cool tho. Saw masses of bottom feeding sharks which was awsum. Where have u dived?

Around the gold coast myself. Swum loads from bottom of Victoria to paddling knee deep in Darwin but only really dives the coast. Hearing whales would be amazing

We were warned that Darwin is no good for diving because of the salties, or is that just tourist bull sh*t?

No they're there. A lot. When we played football on the beach etc we'd post a dedicated look out

Wow. Pretty awsum stuff. We did a boat trip down a river in lichfield or kakadoo national park (i can't remember which one the boat trip was) and saw loads of fresh waters and 5 or 6 massive salties
