Hello, I am new to Guam, and I want to utilize the ocean as much as I can. Freediving seems to be a fairly easy thing to get into. I'm a bit old to start, 50, but I have all the time in the world to progress slowly. My current goal is to hit 45 feet. It seems a far way off, but I hold my breath fairly well and hopefully could hit it my first day.
I'm hoping to meet fellow freedivers here on Guam to hang around with and learn from.
As fro Scuba I've helped teach the YMCA course for several years at the Richport YMCA. I loved it. I was what is know as a pool rat... or technically, a "safety"... I've done about 150 cold freshwater wreck and muck dives and about 150 saltwater dives, most of them in warm water.
Hey, if there's anyone with experience willing to help a newb out, I'm interested.
