Hey everyone! My name's Hannah, and I'm from the seacoast area of Maine. I've been swimming forever, but am really just now starting to get interested in freediving. I hope to get a monofin soon, and to start with that and work my way up! I'm only 15, but I'm hoping to really get started with freediving!

Welcome!

I don't know about any Maine freediving groups (although I have met one Freediver from Maine - but he appeared on the scene and disappeared, so not sure if he's sticking with it), but there is an awesome, very talented and friendly group in Montreal that has a couple of qualified schools and some AIDA qualified instructors.

Might be worth getting in touch with them for an upcoming course or to keep in touch with for exciting dive trips (quarry depth diving, St. Lawrence / 1000 islands diving, or trips to the Toronto area to Tobermory or local Montreal freedive competitions).

It's really nice to have a group of freedivers fairly close that you can learn from. Your progression will benefit from it and you will dive a lot safer.

All the best!
