Hi all,

I just joined up. I've been free-diving and spearfishing for 2 years now in the cold, murky waters of Humboldt county. We have a lot of kelp, rocky subsurface, and mediocre visibility. The water's teeming with life, and there are dungeness, rock scallops, ling cod, abalone, and multiple types of rockfish to look at and shoot for.

If you're headed up here, shoot me a pm, and I'll take you out--providing the vis is decent

On another note, I'm heading to Ireland and Italy this summer, and I would love some info and/or diving buddies. I'll be near Galway in Ireland (July23-29), and then I'll be traveling to Umbria and Tuscany (August 1-7).

Happy hunting,

-G

Welcome Kelp wolf, we have plenty members from both Italy & Ireland.

Hi there,

I’m new to the forum and spearfishing. I know this post is almost 8 years old now, but I live in southern Humboldt and am looking for a dive buddy. You still in humboldt?
