Yes I am new to the sport. But not completely new. I am a 25 years old man. And I have not done any swimming or diving for many years. But before from when I was 8 to 16 years old I did a lot freediving and swimming in Greece. My father is Greek so I use to visit him nearly every summer. Also I have done pool swimming training from I was 8 to 13 years old. And there we used to do underwater rugby for fun in the end of many of the training sessions.

But I have never done any diving in Norway. Just little bit of swimming on the hot summer days.
I got the idea of spearfishing in Norway early this spring. But I did nothing about it.

I went for holiday in Greece late summer this year. And stayed there 3 weeks. I went for swimming and freediving in the ocean many times. Something I havent done for many years.
It was just so much FUN!
Also one of my cusins who have 15 years experience in spearfishing. Learned me little bit about the sport.
All this made me decide. That when I came back to Norway I was definitely going to start spearfishing.

So I will this week order a custom made wetsuit from the Oceanos Wetsuit company.
It is going to be a green camosuit made of 7 mm Heiwa Neoprene. Open cell interior and Long John pants.
With kneepads, elbowpads, chestpad and attached hood.
I have first to take all the measurements before I can place my order.
Oceanos said they could make and ship my wetsuit in 2 weeks.

But I have not decided me for which fins and mask I will buy.
I will try to make my own speargun if I manage it.
I hope to get all the equipment ready to start spearfishing and freediving within 3 to 4 weeks.

Norway is a very good place for diving/spearfishing.
I know Norway is a tourist attraction for many spearfishing enthusiasts.

Greece is also a very good place for diving/spearfishing.
So I am a lucky man.

Long post hehe....
