Greetings from Ohio!. I'm new to diving and here to learn more. I've been interested in scuba diving and plan to get my open water certification at some point in time in the future, meanwhile I'm excited to be getting into snorkeling and free diving. I'm going to be going on vacation later this year and snorkeling in the ocean is one of the things I have planned.

From this forum, I found out about a place called Gilboa Quarry which is not that far from me.

I plan on buying a full face snorkeling mask, as well as, a snorkel, mask, fins, and wet suit for free diving, since full face mask snorkels are not for free diving.

Welcome to Deeperblue! If you haven't already, you may want to respond to the post from Underwater Martini in the Intro and Greets forum. He also dives Gilboa Quarry.

Do they stock the quarries with fish? What kind of depths do you typically see in there?

Thanks. I've never been to Gilboa, but they do stock it with fish according to their web site. There's some cool video's of diver's feeding the fish on You Tube and some have been lucky enough to encounter the paddle fish.
