Hi,

Im new to freediving. I've been using scuba gear for the last year and finally making the switch to proper equipment. I dive for a living using surface supplied equipment, which requires a ridiculous amount of gear and weight. I love freediving for the fact that I dont need all the cumbersome equipment. Being new to the site I really appreciate all the info I've learned so far.

Thanks

Hello, and welcome to Deeperblue. Feel free to stick around and enjoy yourself. Check out the USA/Canada forum for info on local diving events, including the Telegraph Cove get-together :)

Hey BatRay thanks for the welcome. I'd love to check out Telegraph Cove, I had a friend who spent the whole summer up there working, said it was great.

Welcome! I'm down in florida for a few months, but a BC resident as well. glad to see more canadians on board!

Cheers! Maybe hook us up for some decent spearo spots? Looking forward to diving with you some day.

Hey thanks for the welcome. Not too sure of any good spearo spots yet, but I'm working on it. I got out to active pass last week, amazing spot!

There's a pretty active group of freedivers in Vancouver also, not to mention the ones on Van. island. Check out Vancouver Apneist Club :: home :: as well as freedivecanada.com. They're out diving quite regularly.

Cheers, and welcome to DeeperBlue!

Aaron
