Like to say hi to everybody out there. Back end of the sixty,s I took up comercial diving for the oil company's and worked in many country. I retired from comercial diving quite a few years ago, I now find I,ve got the urge to take up spearfishing once again, so while I was looking on the web for some advice on what speargun to buy, it was my good fortune to came across deeper blue, so now I'm a very new member seeking sound advice from the members

welcome to db, try the devon & guernsey threads as well,there are quite a few experienced spearos & freedivers in those parts of the uk
 
Welcome Stu. There are several forum members in Plymouth that spear & also a few commercial divers active on the forum.
 
Hi Stu welcome, only joined yesterday myself....loads of folk in the Plymouth area.....still working my way around the site.
Hot tips for south Devon are if you don't already know them...
Low spring tide... fishing the flood is where i've had my best fish (Bass) not seen any big shoals yet but hve seen several large fish (8lbs) in shallow water...good luck
