Hey all, I've been scuba diving for over 2 years, I have about 65 dives, 50 of which are in Monterey Bay. But, I have recently started freediving, so that's why I'm here. I'm very new to the sport; my first experience was in Lake Tahoe and it was great! My max depth was 28 feet. The hardest part was getting used to not breathing underwater, what a novel idea haha! The only other place I've gone is Monterey Bay. Anyway, I look forward to doing a lot more free diving and meeting other divers in northern CA.

Hi ekron, welcome to db & have fun looking around.
Ask away any questions.

Welcome ekron. We have several members (and staff) in N. California, so hopefully you can find some useful contacts & information. Interesting area SF, Sacramento, Davis, Carmel, Monteray, Yosemite, Donner Pass, San Jose. I've visited a few times but still plenty left to explore.
