Don't do too much freediving from here, but plenty when I travel. I've been lurking for quite awhile, but now I need some advice. Hopefully I'll hear from you on the equipment forum.

Welcome NWDiver. I used to live near Seattle - great area - but only took up spearing & fishing on returning to the UK. Pity, as there is apparently good spearing & world class fishing to be had round there & up over the border in Canada.
