Hi everyone,

Thought i had best come on and say hello as i joined a while ago and have just been searching around for info.

Great website and forum!

Ive got nearly all of my spearfishing gear together and just need a few more bits to complete my kit.

Can any of you tell me if its legal to spearfish in UK marinas? Im thinking it might be a nice one to do when vis is bad in open water.

:)

Hey enros.

Welcome to the club I`m new here myself but will say that each marina will probably have its own rules and regulations in place and as a marina is usually within a harbour the harbour board or authority will also have the same. Probably best to speak to the marina manager but just think of this. If you had a boat worth thousands would you want someone firing a spear in the region of it? Probably not. I guess you have seen the mullet cruising around a marina. They are elsewhere too.

Just my thoughts.

Coastie.

Where are you based?

Yeah marinas are a little tricky at certain times, you draw a lot of attention to yourself

thanks for the reply's! Im in Uckfield just up from Brighton, went to the marina last night, to be honest im not sure that i would want to swim in that water anyway!

Im just so desperate for some clear water!!
