Hello DeeperBlue Community!
I'm a 27 years old male from Switzerland. I've been reading here for quite a while, but now it's time to start posting.
I've always been fascinated with freediving and the ocean. When I was little my father always spoke with a lot of fascination and respect of people like Jaques Mayol, Umberto Pelizzari or Pipin Ferreras. Or we used to watch Jaques Cousteau' s movies together.
And whenever I've been to a pool, I've always preferred diving over swimming.
But only last year when I visited Dahab and the wonderful Red Sea, it dawned on me that this is what I wanna do.
Now I am passionate about apnea diving and try to get in shape, despite the lack of oceans, buddies and warm water here.
I' m a beginner and can't contribute much knowledge to the forum at the moment, for I am still learning the basics.
I'm happy to be a part of this forum, I really like the knowledge it provides and the friendly attitude of the users.
