Hi there I am a newbie wannabe freedivir. I'm 60 years old but I love to swim, have always loved swimming underwater especially, and I have good lung capacity. I downloaded an app onto my iphone called "breath hold" and using the training table it sets up, I can do both the CO2 and O2 sets for a 6 minutes breath hold without extreme discomfort. so I guess the next step for me is a beginners freediving course..
Any ideas of where/when that might be available? As far as I can tell, the nearest freediving community is in Vancouver BC.

There tight nit freedive crew in the puget sound called the bottomsounders ( yahoo group)
Cool guys who go out frequently. Often setting up line dives in Alki beach ( west seattle).

There are also some nice wreck dives in the puget sound. If I wasn't moving to hawaii in 6 days I would have loved to show you some basics and dive spots .
