Hey there guys. I've been scuba diving for about 6 years now and absolutely love ever moment I get to do it... The Big Island of Hawai'i is where I do my diving and I can't wait to get back there in December...

Scuba diving is awesome but after seeing people free diving, and seeing how calm and almost mesmerizing they look as they glide euipment-less I have gained a heightened interest in free diving. I plan on doing a lot of reseach through this forum and any books yall can recommend and whatever valuable information you guys have to share with me. Like I have already been reading there are apparent risks and I would plan on courses but first I'd like to do some research of my own..

Hello from Texas and hope to learn much from you guys

Take Care

Stewart

Hello Stewart!

I have been reading 'Manual of Freediving' by Umberto Pelizzari and Stefano Tovaglieri. You probably already have it cos it svery well known, but if not, it's very useful explaining the physics, physiology, training and techniques you can use. And safety issues too. I got mine on amazon for a good price. I think you'll find it useful, good luck!
bye
