Hello everyone! Great forum :D. Helped me alot already in deciding which gear to pick for my coming new passion. I grew up here at the lake and was swimming and "diving" like from the start. I make a list on my equipment and want to get some sentiments from the more experienced divers on what they think about it.
Ok so here is what i got (get... wont be here before new jear i guess):

-Sporasub Sea Green 5mm Wetsuit
-Extra 3mm Spetton Hood
-5mm Cressi Ultraspan Gloves
-7mm Seac Sub Anatomic Socks
-Omer Stingray Short
-Beuchat Strato Goggles
-Omer Slalom Snorkel
-and last but probably not least im gonna get me an Aeris F10 V2.
Yeah thats it for now cant wait to check it out in the water. Any suggestions positive/negative welcome. Let me know what u think :D.
Thx,
Bela

Ah yeah and i totally forgot... im gonna make my own custom weight belt out of neopren and some other materials to fit my needs and demands ;). I dont think wearing a wetsuit with the lead directly on the suit makes it comfortable and i think in the winter it might also transport the cold to your body. If wearing a neopren belt with the lead in seperate bags assembled it cant bc its insulated.
Gonna make a report with pics when i start tailor it / when its done.
Tell me what u think, know about it.
Thx,
Bela

Welcome to DB!

What kind of diving are you planning to do?

I don't see the need for neoprene over the lead weights. One does not feel any cooling if the weight belt is separated by the suit. I've also swam in warmer water, and using bare weights does not cool the skin down at all. In short a non existent problem in my experience.

I've not used the strato goggles yet, but the search result gave me:

Beuchat Strato - Spearfishing World

This is not a 'goggles', this is a mask because it has a nose including seal.
Why did you choose that mask?

7mm socks? I think 3 or 5 would be better, because your fin would fit with less movement, less loss of movement energy. Get a pair of fin keepers/holders too.

Suit: does your suit include a hood? a hooded suit is much warmer and more convenient.

Fins, size and stiffness depend on your size, strength, and type of use.

I hope this helps a bit.

Hey Bela,

I grew up at the Lake of Constance as well and I'm just visiting my parents for Christmas. Only been swimming there, never diving.

Kars already gave you some valuable advice to which really I have nothing to add. Well maybe think of getting a custom made suit as you want to have it as tight as possible to avoid exchange of water as the lake is not particularly warm. And one more thing, take a course and find a buddy.

Welcome to DB,
Arno
