Hey whats up guys as the title said im new to this freediving/spearfishing and ive been reading up on it for the last 4 months but im ready to make a decision on what gun to buy. I found this Cressi sub Comanche 90 good condition shaft is great but i would like to know what do i need to check out before i buy this gun it has been used and a friend recommended me this guy are there things i should know? (its a single band) and any advice on getting started?

THANKS

depending on how old it is, and how it's been treated, you'll probably need to replace the rubber band first

also if it's been used badly (fired at rocks) the spear will probably be bent, even minor bends that can't be really seen with the eye can affect the accuracy

you can test it by putting the spear on a table and roll it or put either end on a table and roll it so you can see a bend

so take that into calculation, and if it's still cheaper than a new gun, go for it

Ye hey thanks i mean im getting at a good price and since i am beggining im taking that into consideration as well but he says that everything is great he just doesnt want the gun anymore. thanks ALOT!
