Hello everyone, I have found this website to be extremely helpful especially with the all the different techniques and people from across the world.
I also wanted to get rid of the notice on top of my screen telling me
"Hello SporaScrub,
Our records indicate that you have never posted to our site before! Why not make your first post today by saying hello to our community in our Introductions and Greets forum." :D

Gday Spora welcome to DB :)

Thanks Mongrel,

I've read your post before and I mainly remember it because of the Darth Vader pic in your signature(made me laugh). I think the topic being discussed was Mamba Kits for pneumatic guns but I could be wrong..? Thanks anyway for the welcoming!

welcome bud, same same in SB...if so then your a good Miami guyrofl...how was it in the Keys?

Yes sir... same name. It was ok this last weekend, I had a cold and nasty sinus issues so I didn't dive much:crutch I went in the water first thing in the morning and by just going down 5 feet, I already had this feeling that my head wanted to explode and sinuses were making it hard to equalize. So I called it quits on the diving before things got worse.

On Saturday we went out for Mahi and ended up with seven schoolies.

Then on Sunday, I had two friends come from Miami to go out and spear. I was driving the boat and had four buddies in the water. They ended up catching 18 hogs (14-17") 6 Yellow Jacks (25-34") three cuda's, one black and one huge White grunt (margate).

I'm taking lots of medicine so I can dive this up coming long weekend.

roflroflrofl

jus be messing with you man! Seems you took the piggy to slaughter...post your reports in the Miami section...we may just be over in the keys this weekend too, you still staying over there on the weekends?

I was going to post a report but I didn't have the camera on the boat.:head Then when I got back we started cleaning the boat and ended up leaving the keys at 8 and got home around 10.

The boat was already in the water for a week and we wanted to clean the bottom and leave it out of the water so the algea wouldn't grow at a fast pace this week with the full moon.

Beside's now with the long weekend it's going to be in the water for a while:D

Yes... every weekend till September 12. I'll be leaving on Thursday afternoon and guarantee I'll be in the water on Friday morning:D

Let me know if you plan on being down there on Friday. I thought you would be heading down on Saturday morning. Are you going to make a day trip or did you rent somewhere...?

we may head over to the KWMA, friend has place over there, but it ain't looking to good weather wise...we probably will be there for Fri/Sat hate the drive back on Sun/Mon...everyone else is leaving, that traffic is maddening:rcard

feel your pain brotha. went over Sat. morning and left Sun. no diving just some R&R (read as boring&boring:hmm) seems I didn't miss much with the windy conditions and crazy wkend boaters/drinkers...how'd you do?

Friday- Pretty windy in the morning and my dive buddy went out for mahi in the AM. Right around noon the winds calmed down and we went out for mahi with a couple of my dad's friends. Traveled out to the 409 hump (25 miles) and the only mahi's caught (7) were at 350' (12miles).

Saturday- Got out to shoot something at 11am.
Went out with a buddy and the viz was horrible and the current was pretty strong but still ended up catching 5 13-14" hogs and 2 29" yellow jacks at a shallow patch reef in 27'.

Then we moved out to another spot in 55' that usually hold nice mango's and muttons.
The current there was a stream, by the time I spotted a fish and made a drop on em, they were gone. Then when the fish stayed around and they noticed how much effort and finning I had to do to get close, they bolted. The Stealthy approach was pretty much non existant for me in these conditions.

Forget about fishing on Sunday and Monday...
The winds and rain made it horrible but we roasted a pig on Sunday and took it out on the boat to a beach out of Duck Key. Most of our friends at the resort went out on there own boat and we had about 25 boats out there. It was a nice little get together + the food (pan con lechon) and drinks were nice too;)
