I did a SSI lvl 1 course with Blue Immersion in Koh Tao. So hooked!
I've gone from a 40m DYN to 85m and 1:30 STA to 3:20 in the space of a month. There's nothing quite like initial improvement to motivate.
The biggest improvement has come from relaxation. I got myself a watch, started pool training once a week at MSAC and doing daily dry tables/walking apnea, but I think much of it has been mental adaptation.
I'm going to have a bunch of questions.
Also, I'm wondering there are other freedivers in Melbourne, particularly the western suburbs. There's a fantastic outdoor pool in Werribee and I'm keen to do more pool training, or even some open water stuff.
