Hello All,

I'm new to this forum. I've been obsessed with water since i was a kid. Strangely enough it's only been until recently when i've gotten into freediving.
In grand turk i went down 35-40 feet without proper equipment (i didn't have any equipment yet and i rented scuba fins) not to mention without proper technique or training...waaaay before i read some of the stuff i NEEDED to know before freediving. let's just say i'm glad i didn't BO. Well I know better now.
I have to say though, it was pure magic down there. I've never felt more at peace.

In order to train for my dives i've been doing a lot of Dynamic no fins at the olympic pool at the local gym...so far it's been really fun.

In may i'm planning to head to central florida for about 3-4 days on vacation...Does anybody know any good freshwater springs for freediving in florida? I'm looking for a place where the depth ranges from 25 to 50 feet if possible?:)

THANKS!

Yes there are a bunch of good springs. Go to Troy Springs in Branford Florida. About 1 hour away from Gainesville Florida. Then There is Blue Hole Inchetucknee springs in Fort White I believe. You might have to google maps that. It's about a 10-15 min treck through a dry little swamp area. Blue Hole is about 28ft deep. Troy Springs is 63 feet deep. Both terrific springs!
