Hi everyone!
I've been wanting to get into freediving since I saw Terry Maas's "Bluewater Hunters" many years ago. Growing up in central Illinois, it's been on the back burner for a long time, but I've been reading all the wonderful information for us tyros in your threads, and since I'm going to Puerto Rico with some friends from April 22-30, I've ordered some omer millenniums and the alien mask and look forward to finally getting to explore the water!

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, especially for where to go in Puerto Rico, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
~Jake

Jwolf, welcome dude........where are u going in PR? Most tourists head to Punta Cana.....for a better dive, I'd go to Puerto Plata.....its less developed and a more traditional lick of PR.....also the water is less disturbed and the fish are more abundant......

We're renting a house in Cabo Rojo, on the SW side, but also plan on exploring the whole island as much as we can in our week. I'll look up Puerta Plata.

Anyone have a favorite bioluminescent beach? It probably isn't safe to dive at night, even with a full moon, is it? It would be pretty cool to swim in the bioluminescent sea...

~Jake
