Hello guys, I am new here and comming with the question already :friday

In about a week I go for freedive adventure to AbuDahab Egypt, and plan to buy some nice fins. Water will be like 30°C. I am 90kg, 178cm, with good strength, diving for a long time from a small boy till now (Im 40) now. I am going to dive to about 15-30m max, enjoy the sea life, meditate a little, and swimm with sharks, dolphins, dugong....

The fins I considered basically are Cressi Modular or Gara 3000LD, but I cant find any good info in regards of Modular, so no idea.

What of the two would you consider for me for the conditions I mentioned, not to kill my legs fast, but be good oxygen efficient?
Thanx

Hey Duge. The gara 3000ld is really good value for money. They are soft though remember that, sadly ive never used them but i have a friend that is really satisfied with them. Because of this I can't give you the info in first hand only his opinion. With a little luck someone else has and will write you shortly.

Best regards Youbuur

Hello Youbuur,

Thanks for the answer. I heard of Gara 3000LD only good, but the Modular is tempting. For no so big price difference (for me) in between the two, I could get a possibility to:

- remove the plate from the fin, for better transport
- change the black plate (harder?) for the green one (softer I think), so basically I would have 2 fins for quite nice price
- the modular should be like more efficient, but I wouldnt like to end up with too stiff fins in my adventure....
- might be the solution is to buy both plates - the black and green - and change it, if it is not fitting :p

Hope there is someone who has a personal experience with this thing and can guide me.

btw I saw your youtube channel, nice diving fun :wave So, keep safe and dont dry :naughty

He he thank you :).

Yes i understand your thoughts. Is it possible for you to maybe try the fins in a local shop or something? I usually buy from scubastore.com and they let you return in 30 days if you are not satisfied but the cost to return is pretty high. At lease from where I live (Sweden) so sometimes it's not even worth returning.

Good luck to yo bro! Hope you find the right fin for you.

Best regards Youbuur
