Hello all,

I am delighted to be back to diving after a 40 year hiatus. I took a YMCA scuba class when I was 15 and did the whole drill. At that time, you could not be scuba certified at that age, so those of us under the limit were issued Y skin diver cards that we could exchange for scuba when we reached 16. I never went back, but now it is time since my son is 15 and wants to dive.

We start our NAUI course this Friday--a refresher for me, but I am guessing some things have changed a bit in four decades ;-) . Of course, I am interested in all things scuba, especially the science and engineering that allows the underwater experience.
