Hiya, i recently bought my first pneumatic gun a slightly used 90cm maorisub mamba. I have been getting on fine with the gun (bar aiming with it:)) till today. When i pull the trigger the line releases but the shaft doesn't leave the barrel. I have to physically hit the barrel with my other hand to get the shaft to leave the barrel. Its almost as if the trigger mechanism isn't working properly?

Any ideas what may be causing this problem, before i start taking things apart?!

Could i have bent the spear whilst loading?! it doesn't look bent to me, but then again im guessing it would only have to have a slight bend in the spear for it to mess things up. And i am not exactly fluid at loading pneumatics really as this is my first one.

Any response/ advice is greatly appreciated. I need to get this sorted asap so i can get back in the water :)

Cheers Ian

turn the gun upside down, so you have a clear view at the plastic trigger guard. you should see alittle hole in the guard just before the handle and a little screw inside. take a small screwdriver and make 2-3 clockwise turns. that should make your trigger more sensitive i.e. release the spear sooner.

check for proper trigger sensitivity by firing da gun in the water.

Petar_dj thanks for the advice. I managed to find an allen key and have just put 3 turns on it. Just about to leave and go for a dive now so fingers crossed!!

Cheers Ian

glad to be of assistance!!

with the proper amount of turns you can precisely set the trigger to "grab" when preffered. but watch out not to make it too sensitive because that could make the spear fly out without pressing the trigger:blackeye
